Rajat Subhra Bandopadhyay - India
Rajat Subhra Bandopadhyay is an internationally recognised artist who has over forty years of experience in being an artist. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions, both domestic and international and has had four solo exhibitions. He has curated various workshops online and offline, both internationally and nationally for India.
Rajat is known for specifically mastering the field of watercolours and has experimented with watercolours widely on canvas and other mediums. In 2019 his work got auctioned in Brisbane watercolour society
Watercolour, which is frequently thought of as a relatively simple medium but which Rajat has mastered, is actually one of the hardest to work with. His preferred medium is watercolour, and he enjoys using it to depict abandoned things, landscapes, and natural environments. He likes to preserve nature's beauty and essence through his paintings because it is gradually wearing out in today's world.
During the years when the pandemic hit (2020-2022), he conducted his artistry online. At the beginning of 2023, he travelled to Bologna, as a country leader - representing India. He has also received invitations for the renowned Venice International Watercolor Festival 2023 and in France for Salon international de I’aquarelle de st yriexi. Currently, he holds two designations which are - Country leader of India for FabrianoInAcqurello from 2016 till now and he is also known to be one of the Global Brand Ambassadors of Daniel Smith
