Because of its unpredictability - Just by using water and colour pigment, watercolour paintings are considered a unique way to creatively represent my thoughts, memories and emotions. Painting is an experience without words. I try to present a meaningful painting enjoyable to myself and others.
They say it is the hardest medium to learn, and may be so, however, it is the wonderment of Watercolour that attracted me to it and the use of effective methods and techniques. Dry on wet, wet on wet, wet on dry, sprinkling, dapping, flicking and so on - the possibilities are endless.
Painting and in particular Watercolour is an art where you never stop learning so there are many years of enjoynment ahead of me. Meeting lovely people, sharing, travel, satisfaction and definitely frustration which is all part of the journey.
