Julian is one of Australia's most loved Artists and he is the President of the Australian Society of Marine Artists, and his Awards include The Victorian Artists Society Artist of the Year, The ANL Maritime Award for Traditional Marine Painting, and The Kenneth Jack Memorial Award.  He is a member of the Australian Watercolour Institute

Julian's Work draws on a variety of themes, with an attention to landscapes, alpine snow gums, city scenes, maritime themes, figure and portraiture.

As a teacher he brings enthusiasm and energy into watercolour with a confidence building approach underpinned by sound watercolour basics of Tone, Form, Colour and Edge with the application of interesting painting techniques.

Julian will share his skills with a Demonstration on the evening of

4th September 2023 - in Brisbane

6pm to 8.30pm

Julian's demonstration painting will be up for silent auction on the night so be prepared to acquire a piece of high-end art at a very affordable price.  (All monies will support Australian Watercolour Muster)

Materials to Bring For the Workshop in Brisbane!

Paint | Good quality watercolours, in addition to your usual colours add Neutral Tint, White Gouache, Raw Sienna, Burnt Sienna, Cerulean Blue.

Palette | Make sure there are clean areas to mix larger washes on or have a white plate.

Paper | 6 Quarter Sheets or A3 of Good Quality 300gsm Cold Press Watercolour Paper (Arches, Saunders or Boahong)

Other | Drawing Board, 2b Pencil, Masking Tape, Spray Bottle, Towel and Tissues
